Canon PowerShot® S5 IS Digital Camera is a great buy!

I bought this camera because our family had never owned a nice good quality camera before. We got in on sale and are quite pleased with it. I have not been able to customize it on the custom setting, as the flash setting either causes white out, or the picture to be too dark. It could just be my inexperience, but I have not figured this thing out fully yet. The auto feature is nice, but it doesn't capture the picture quite like I want it to. Overall I'm pleased with this camera. I think if I took the time to extensively go through the manual, I'd be more pleased with all the settings and functions. My husband is away a lot due to the Army, so it's nice to be able to swivel the screen around to be able to view the picture you'd like to take. For example, I can set the camera up, get the self timer ready, see myself and my daughter on the screen, and capture awesome pictures without having to hold the camera or guess if we're in the picture or not. It's a great way to stay in touch with friends and family. I am really pleased with how long the batteries last; I take a lot of pictures and the batteries have lasted almost two months! Incredible. I have yet to encounter any technical problems, and the camera is visually very nice. Everyone always comments on it and asks where I got it.
